A 65-year-old Wayne County woman is facing charges following a traffic stop in Victor.

Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped Linda Lehr of Macedon on Route 96 in Victor for a routine traffic stop. She was subsequently charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed for having an uninspected motor vehicle.

She was issued appearance tickets and is due in court at a later date to answer to the charges.
 

A Walworth man has been arrested and charged with selling drugs in the town hall parking lot in Macedon and also with near a daycare and school.

Dylan K. Dippel, 22, of Walworth, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in or near school grounds, criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal sale of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police say Dippel was selling prescription pills and marijuana in the Macedon Town Hall parking lot, along with selling marijuana and prescription pain medications near a daycare facility and Pal-Mac Intermediate School.

Dippel was arraigned in Macedon Village Court and was released to his parents. Dippel is due back in court on May 22 at 7 :00p.m.
 

Earthquakes Canada is reporting a 5.1-magnitude earthquake just west of Ottawa that was felt as far away as Toronto.
    
The federal agency that monitors earthquakes revised its original report, saying it registered a 5.1-magnitude temblor with an epicenter located about 13 miles northeast of Shawville, Quebec, about an hour's drive outside Ottawa.
    
It was felt as far west as Toronto, Canada's largest city, but no damage was immediately reported.
    
Twitter erupted with reports of buildings shaking in Ottawa for several seconds. Ontario's premier, who lives in Toronto, tweeted that her house was shaking.
    
Ontario Provincial Police in Arnprior, Ontario, not far from the epicenter, say they have received no reports of damage.
