Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies say a woman was driving high on drugs with her 11-month-old child in the car.
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 23-year-old Katherine Madden of Lyons on Sunday after she was pulled over on Sutton Road in the town of Seneca.
News10NBC is told Madden and 29-year-old David Bender, who was also in the car, admitted to smoking marijuana while the baby was also inside the car.
They say Madden failed a series of sobriety tests, and a drug recognition expert determined she was impaired by drugs at the time.
Madden was charged with DWAI Drugs, DWI LeAndra’s Law, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Bender was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Madden and Bender will answer to the charges at a later date.
