Marion teen charged with unlawful possession of alcohol under the age of 21

Two teens have been issued appearance tickets after Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies say they consumed alcohol underage.

Deputies say during a traffic stop on Elm Street in Penn Yan, the determined two teens -- 16-year-old Patrick Meland of Penn Yan and 17-year-old Troy Meland of Marion – had consumed alcohol under the age of 21. Both were passengers in the car.

Both teens are due in Penn Yan court at a later date.
 

Police: Man used beer bottle in bar assault

A Palmyra man is charged with assault, after police say he hit another man over the head with a beer bottle.

Canandaigua Police say they arrested 24-year-old Christopher Timbs after they responded to a disturbance call at Rocky's Cafe in Canandaigua early Sunday morning.

Police say during the incident, Timbs allegedly struck another man in the head with a beer bottle and caused physical injury.

Timbs was charged with 2nd degree assault, a felony, and taken to Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.

Wayne County man charged with abusing child because it cried while he played Xbox

A Wayne County man is accused of grabbing a four-year-old disabled child by the wrists after the child didn't stop crying while the suspect was trying to play Xbox Live.

Adam Rosenbauer is charged with two counts of endangering a child, assault and harassment.

The child is the son of Rosenbauer's girlfriend at the time. We spoke with the mother, Morgan Swimm, and you will see her interview tonight on News10NBC at 5 and 6. In our interview with her she repeatedly calls him a "scumbag."

State Police say he grabbed the wrists of the four-year-old back on New Year's eve day.

Lyons man facing charges after domestic dispute

A Lyons man is facing charges after a domestic dispute.

Police in Seneca Falls have charged 24-year-old Christopher Freeman with criminal trespass, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.

Police say Freeman entered a home and hit a woman while in the presence of two young children. The woman suffered minor cuts and scrapes. The children were not injured.

Freeman was arraigned and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

Deputies: Wayne Co. teen exposed himself to students at North Rose Wolcott HS

A 17-year-old Wayne County man has been arrested for public lewdness.

Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies say Samuel Ortiz of Rose exposed himself in a classroom full of students at North Rose Wolcott High School.

Ortiz was issued an appearance ticket to answer to the charge at a later date.

Level 3 sex offender accused of abusing 3 girls

He is registered as the most dangerous kind of sex offender. Now he's back in jail charged with sexually abusing three little girls.

Richard Daley is charged with predatory sex abuse of a child, course of sexual conduct against a child and sex abuse. He was indicted by the grand jury and arraigned yesterday. Daley is in jail on $25,000 bail.

Daley was a registered sex offender in Savannah, Wayne County. But he's accused of the crimes in Monroe County.

Prosecutor Sara VanStrydonck says he's accused of sexually abusing three girls, including a nine-year-old girl over the course of two years. That girl is now 11.

"Well certainly when you have accusations such as these and the individual accused is already a registered sex offender it certainly gives you pause. I'm sure it gives the community pause too.

Mother of inmate accused of smuggling drugs to daughter

The mother of an Ontario County Jail inmate has been charged with attempting to promote prison contraband after allegedly smuggling drugs in the jail to her daughter.

Sherriff's Deputies say Joanne Attridge was asked by her daughter, 22-year-old Leighanne Attridge-Kuckinik to bring suboxone strips into the jail. The substance is used to treat opiate addictions, but can be addictive itself.

Authorities confiscated the suboxone strips when Attridge was visiting her daughter on December 3.
