Lyons Central unveils new Sustainable Living Laboratory | Environment
Lyons Central Middle/High School unveiled its newly refurbished classroom, the Sustainable Living Laboratory. The Sustainable Living Lab is designed to educated students in sustainable practices through different building methods and techniques.
The lab will be used by students enrolled in Earth Science classes and the Technology program. The laboratory will contain uni-solar photovoltaic panels, geothermal heating/cooling system, tunnel skylights, air breeze-wind turbine, florian greenhouse and rain water harvesting tank.
Rochester based firm, Mossien Associates Architects, designed and implement their lab.
