Lyons Elks Carp derby results are in | News

 Lyons Elks Lodge No. 869 recently sponsored the 22nd Annual Carp Derby. As a means of promoting community activities for residents of all ages, this activity took place between the two canal bridges in Lyons. A good time was had by all.

Winners of the several categories were as follows:
Girls: first – Alissie McDonald; second – Abby Clark
Boys: first – Alex Lontz

Ladies:  no fish were caught
Men: first – William Hunt; second – Cal Felker; third – Timmy McDonald

Combined Weight:  first - William Hunt; second - Clint McDonald; third - Jonathan Countryman

This activity was a catch and release program with maximum effort being made to release back all carp caught during the derby hours.  Prizes included trophies and fishing equipment.
