Ginna Nuclear Power Plant to test emergency sirens | News

Ginna Nuclear Power Plant will perform a test of its public notification system between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21.

The test will involve all sirens in Ginna's 10-mile radius for three to five minutes. Additional single-siren tests may be conducted throughout the day.
Two more tests are planned at locations on Lake Road in Ontario next week.

All sirens in the notification system are tested regularly to ensure public safety.
