Meet Shelby!

Shelby is this week's News10NBC and Lollypop Farm "Friday's Friend." Shelby is a 9-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix who weighs about 60 pounds. Her owner died and no one was able to take her so she was brought to Lollypop Farm.

Shelby is a great girl with a beautiful coat and she likes to be brushed! Because of her age, a home with children over 14 is suggested, and Lollypop Farm suggests she meet other dogs in the home to make sure that everyone gets along. Shelby is available for adoption through our Seniors-for-Seniors program, so adopters age 60 and over can take her home free of charge!

Meet Hoover!

Meet Hoover!

Hoover is a 9-year-old Basset Hound mix who weighs about 50 pounds. Hoover was brought to Lollypop Farm because his family was moving and could not bring him with them. He walks very well on the leash and is a friendly dog! He likes getting attention and being petted. Hoover would do best in a home without very young children and needs to meet any dogs in the household before adoption.

Hoover is available in the Seniors-for-Seniors program, so adopters age 60 and older can take him home free of charge!

Meet Nabi!

Meet Nabi!

Nabi is a 1-year-old St. Bernard/Newfoundland mix who weighs about 70 pounds. She was adopted about six months ago and then returned to Lollypop Farm because her family was having personal problems that made them unable to keep her.

She is a sweet dog and takes treats gently. She is good on the leash, too. Nabi needs to have continued training to help build her confidence and improve her doggie manners. She would do best in a home without young children because she gets very excited when she plays and can be anxious with new people and new situations.

Meet Snoopy!

Meet Snoopy!

Snoopy is a 1-year-old beagle mix who weighs about 25 pounds. Snoopy likes going outside (although he doesn't seem to be a big fan of rainy weather) and walks well on the leash.

He takes treats very gently from your hand, too. Snoopy would do best in a home without younger children because he gets pretty boisterous when he's excited and/or playing.

He needs to meet any kids or dogs in the household before adoption, and he would benefit from continued training. Training classes are a great way to bond with a new pet, too!

Meet Ethel!

Ethel was found as a stray in Ogden. She is a sweet 8 year old Beagle/mix, whose activity level belies her age. She is spry and really trucks along at a good pace on her walks. She likes attention more than treats, and ear rubs and chin scratches were big hits. At 36 pounds she is a good sized girl on a sturdy low slung frame. Kids 6+ is the suggestion. Ethel is available in the Seniors for Seniors program, so if you are aged 60 or older, you could bring this neat lady home with you at no fee.

Meet our Friday Friend Megan!

Megan is an 8-year-old wire-haired Fox Terrier mix who lost her home in a divorce, is not sure just why her world has been turned upside down! Megan loves treats, and once she gets to know you loves to cuddle. She’d do best in a home where everyone is 10 years old or older.

Megan is a bit timid around other dogs, but may do well with other furry friends if the match is right. While Megan is still a lively lady, she qualifies for the Seniors-for-Seniors program, where adopters 60 years of age or older can adopt dogs or cats 6 years of age or older. Can you give this lovely lady a great retirement home?

Meet Tina!

Tina is a 5-year-old chocolate Lab who weighs about 80 pounds. She came to the shelter with her sister Millie, who has since been adopted, so now it’s Tina’s turn! The two dogs were brought to Lollypop Farm because their family was moving and couldn’t bring them along.

Tina is an energetic dog who, like most Labs, loves the water and loves toys! She does well on the leash and would love an active owner who would take her on lots of walks. She would do best in a home without young children, and she needs to meet any dogs in the household before adoption.
